On March 17, 2020, as authorized by state law and local ordinance, I made a declaration of State of Emergency for the Village through March 31, 2020. Today, I extended that declaration to April 27, 2020. This will facilitate potential reimbursement from the state or federal government for any Village expense incurred as a result of this pandemic and will allow continuity of operations in the Village during the period of the declaration.

Governor Pritzker has filed for a statewide Economic Injury Declaration with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in order to qualify Illinois small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak for federal Economic Injury Disaster loans.
